Money isn't just a number on a screen. It's small decisions, every day, around the kitchen table. TONKO turns them into habits that last a lifetime.

The story of one euro

This is one euro.

Small. Shiny. Gone in a second, unless it has a job.

Earned together

Little jobs, real thanks. A parent's OK turns effort into pocket money.

Every euro gets a job

Spend, Save and Grow jars make choices visible — and a little bit fun.

Patience you can see

Goals fill up, week by week. Waiting starts to feel like winning.

One app

Three ways to use it.
One family.

Everyone downloads the same TONKO. What it shows depends on whose phone it is — and whose turn.

You set the rules. They find their feet.

Pocket money, jobs, goals and family rules — all from your phone. When a job is done, a quick high five pays it out.

Meet Tonko

A guide who's also a friend.
Try the first minute.

The first time a child opens TONKO, Tonko shows them around: a tickle, five practice coins, a dream to save for. No lectures.

Parents get their own short tour: why TONKO works the way it does, and a “First steps” card that gets the family ready in five minutes.

Hi! I'm Tonko. I'll show you around. Ready?

How it works

Ready before dinner.

  1. 1

    Set up your family

Download TONKO, add your children with a nickname and an avatar, and choose their pocket money and jobs.

  2. 2

Connect their phone — or hand them yours

Pair a child's phone with a one-time code, or pass your own phone over. Same app, their own space.

  3. 3

    Earn, share out, grow

They mark jobs done, you say well done, and they decide where every euro goes — with goals to aim for.

What kids learn

Money is a skill.
Learned by doing, not by lecture.

Every part of TONKO exists to teach one thing. This is what a child walks away with — from their own pocket money, week after week.

  1. Money is earned.

Work has a value, agreed in advance. A job done well turns into pocket money — once a parent says well done.

  2. Every euro needs a job.

Spend now, save for a goal, or grow for later. Choosing is the lesson, and it happens every single week.

    In TONKOThree jars
  3. Saving has a point.

A goal with a picture and a finish line is easier to reach than a vague “someday”.

    In TONKOGoals
  4. Waiting pays.

A little every week becomes something real over months and years. Kids see it before they believe it.

    In TONKOMoney Time Machine
  5. Wanting isn't buying.

A wish becomes a goal to save for, not something to drop in a basket. The gap between wanting and having is where judgement grows.

Waiting is a superpower.

The same playful tool kids find in TONKO. Move the sliders and see what a little every week becomes.

Every week it waits, the family bonus adds a little more. That's the magic of time.

Three jars

Now, later and much later.

New pocket money waits until your child decides where it goes. Small choices, made often, become habits.

  • SpendFor now. Small treats, chosen on purpose.
  • SaveFor later. A goal with a picture and a finish line.
  • GrowFor much later. A family bonus that rewards waiting.

Safety

Built for kids.
Guarded by parents.

Parents approve

Jobs pay out only after a parent says well done. Nothing moves on its own.

Parent area stays yours

On a child's phone, grown-up settings open only with an OK from a parent's phone or the family PIN — then close again.

A family PIN that means it

Wrong guesses slow things down. Every sign-in is kept encrypted on the phone.

No ads. No tracking.

Kids see no ads and nothing is sold. This page has no analytics either.

No real investing

TONKO is a family ledger for pocket money — no bank card, no markets, no trading.

Kids stay private

Children use a nickname and an avatar. No email, no password, no photo needed.

Questions

Good to know.

What is a good pocket money app for kids?

TONKO is a pocket money app for families with children aged 6 to 14. A parent sets the allowance and jobs, the child earns, splits money into Spend, Save and Grow jars and saves for goals — and learns about money in short lessons along the way. No ads, no bank card, free with one child.

What age is TONKO for?

Ages 6 to 14. Younger children learn through jobs and jars; older ones through goals, grow plans and lessons. When you add a child you pick an age band (6–8, 9–11 or 12–14) and the content adjusts.

Is it one app or two?

One. You and your children download the same TONKO app. On your phone it's for parents, on theirs it's their world, and on a shared phone you simply hand it over.

My child doesn't have a phone yet. Can they still use it?

Yes. Choose your child and hand them your phone. TONKO stays in their space until you take it back with your fingerprint, face or family PIN.

Is the money real?

TONKO keeps track of pocket money you already give — in real currency, but it doesn't hold or move money. You pay out the way you always do; TONKO makes it visible and meaningful.

What does my child actually learn?

That money is earned, that every euro needs a job, that saving has a point, that waiting pays, and that wanting and buying are two different things. Not from a worksheet — from their own pocket money, week after week.

Can two parents use it?

Yes. Invite a second parent with a link. Both can set jobs, approve them and see progress.

What does my child see?

Their jars, jobs and goals, the Money Lab and their own progress — never family settings, other children's details or anything for grown-ups.

Which languages does TONKO speak?

English and Croatian. TONKO follows your phone's language, and you can change it in Settings any time.

Is TONKO on iPhone?

Not yet. TONKO is coming to Android first. An iPhone version is planned for later.

Download it on your phone first. Then connect your child's phone — or simply hand them yours.
